How an Edge Milling Machine Works - Step by Step

  • Step 1: Plate Loading and Clamping The plate of metal is placed on the hard machine bed and clamped to the bed. Sufficient clamping stops vibration or movement when working; therefore, all the material was removed precisely and evenly, although the milling was complex.
  • Step 2: Setting the Bevel Angle and Depth Depending on the welding specification, the operator rotates the milling head to the necessary bevel angle of 0 to 45 degrees. The cutting depth is determined in line with the thickness of the plate and the necessity of preparing the edges.
